4 Practices for Keeping Your Energetic Frequency High

How’s your energy? Are you high frequency…. or not so much? We’ve all heard people say things like “Oh I love his vibe!” or “She has good energy,” but what does that really mean? So many of us often forget that at its purest and most basic form, energy is all there is – Quantum Physics has proven it.

Everything in the Universe puts out energetic vibrations, including you. We all vibrate at a particular frequency. The higher the frequency of your energy or vibration, the lighter you feel in your physical, emotional, and mental bodies. And like attracts like, meaning you attract that which is a vibrational match to your frequency. High vibes attract more of those types of feelings and experiences. Unfortunately, same goes for low vibes. And still, some of us continue to partake in low vibrational thoughts, experiences and feelings all too often.

I recently had the pleasure of co-hosting a private NoFo Retreat for three elementary school teachers. We discussed how negative and energy depleting some aspects of their work are, especially in times of Covid. I offered them some ways to shift, protect, and cultivate more high vibrational energy during their workday. And I wanted to share them with you. These practices can be used any time in any type of situation. You may also find them helpful as you prepare for your holiday gatherings – whatever that may look like for you this year.

4 Practices for Keeping Your Energetic Frequency High

  1. Set an intention or say a prayer before entering a physical space or being around people who bring your frequency down. An example could be, ‘Today I choose to experience positive energy and love in myself, others, and every situation.’

  2. Catch yourself when you want to give in to the thrill of complaining, judgment or gossip – these are all very low vibe activities! Set boundaries for yourself or have an “out” if a conversation becomes negative and you don’t want to give your precious energy to it.

  3. Make a list of 3 things you can do that will shift you out of low vibrational energy and raise your frequency. This way you have them ready when you need them. One of my favorites is to stop wherever I am and look around and get into the feeling of deep gratitude for something I see – maybe I look out the window and see something in nature and take a moment to appreciate its beauty or look at my computer and feel true appreciation for having unlimited information at my fingertips (the secret to the shift is to really feel the gratitude and appreciation in your body).

  4. Protect your energy by visualizing your entire body encased by a luminescent egg or bubble. Intend that nothing can penetrate this barrier unless it serves your highest good. (And if visualization feels a little “woo-woo” for you, remember that your brain doesn’t know the difference between what it sees in your mind, and what it sees in our 3D reality.)

By bringing awareness to our energy and consciously choosing where to focus our attention, we allow ourselves to spend more time in the higher vibrational frequencies of joy, knowledge, empowerment, freedom, appreciation, love, and happiness – and attract more of that good stuff, too. And if we’ve learned anything in 2020, it's something we could all use a little more of!
